Brannon & Feathers take Late Model mains July 3, 2010 at Winchester Speedway

 

Winchester Speedway, Winchester VA

 

In the 25 lap Gasoline Alley Late Model make-up event that was rained out on Saturday Night July 19 on lap 8, Bo Feathers picked up the win. The field was set on lap eight with Armel and Feathers leading the way as caution flew on lap ten . Armel in control with Feathers second took the green again only to have caution fly on lap fourteen to slow the field. Armel leading the way seen Feathers second and twelth place starter Andy Anderson had worked his way into the third spot on lap seventeen and set his sights on the lead two. Armel leading the way had a hard charging Feathers , the two side by side would see Armel involved in a lap twenty-two caution handing the lead over to Feathers. Armel went pitside with heavy damage to his car.Feathers would lead the field back to the green with Anderson second, Brannon had worked his way into third the trio would continue on for the final three circuits with Feathers picking up the win. Anderson would cross second, Brannon third, Tony Crim fourth and rounding out the top five was Wesley Bonebrake.

 

In the regular scheduled 25 lap Gasoline Alley Late Model main event it was Allan Brannon picking up the win. Brannon and Crouch would lead the field to the drop of the green with Brannon taking the lead over Crouch. Brannon leading, Crouch and Wesley Bonebrake would battle for the runner up spot as Bonebrake would take second from Crouch on lap eleven only to have Crouch take it back on lap fourteen. Caution flew on lap fifteen resetting the field with Brannon, Crouch and Wesley Bonebrake. Brannon seemed to be on cruise control as Crouch and Bonebrake battled once again for the runner up spot with Bonebrake taking it on lap twenty-three. Brannon would collect his first win of the 2010 season with Wesley Bonebrake second, Crouch third, Brad Omps fourth and rounding out the top five was Bo Feathers.The heat races were won by Brannon and Denny Bonebrake.

 

The 15 lap Eagle School Limited Late Model main event went to Trevor Feathers. Bubby Tharp Jr and Feathers would lead the field to the green with Feathers taking the lead on lap one and never looked back. Tharp second had his hands full with Harden wanting the second spot. Harden would take the runner up spot on lap eleven. Caution flew on lap thirteen resetting the field with Feathers, Harden and Tharp. Feathers would go onto pick up the win, Harden second, Tharp third, Merryman fourth and rounding out the top five was Leon Lloyd. Heat races were won by Tharp and Lamb.

 

The Niningers Tire & Auto Pure Stocks see Mike Bennett pick up the win.Bennett and Parrill would lead the field to the green with Bennett taking the top spot and would go onto lead all fifteen circuits. Danny Sullivan would cross second, third Parrill, fourth Micheal Carter and rounding out the top five was Lutrell. Heats were won by Josh Williams and Brian Lutrell.

 

The Dehaven Well Drilling 4 Cylinders was won by outside pole sitter James Lichliter. Second Ed Gageby, third Roger Whitlock, fourth Chuck Johnson and rounding out the top five was Scott McCartney. Heat went to Johnson and McCartney.

 

The Finish Line Auto U-Cars cars feature event went to Josh Wilkins. Kevin Oates would cross second, third TJ Faderly, fourth Jason Wilkins and rounding out the top five was Jeff Wilkins.  Heats went to Oates and Faderly.
