Myers, Lamb, Bennett, Johnson & Williams Claim Victories

 

PA’S D.J. Myers picked up his first win of the 2010 racing season at the Winchester Speedway in The Gasoline Alley Late Model division on Saturday Night April 3, 2010. Twenty –one Late Models checked into the pit area for the 25 lap main event. D.J. Myers are Wesley Bonebrake brought the field to the green flag with Myers taking the lead.  Third place starter Armel jumped to second. Armel would fade as Bo Feathers would claim the runner up spot and set his sights on Myers. Several cautions slowed the field. Feathers would catch Myers in lapped traffic and make the pass only for a caution for a spinning driver. Resetting the field Feathers had one more shot but couldn’t make the pass it was  Myers who would claim the victory. Feathers would come home second, last weeks feature winner Ronnie Dehaven crossed third, David Williams fourth and rounding out the top five was Jonathan Dehaven. Myers and Jonathan Dehaven would win the heats.

 

The Eagle School Auto Parts Semi Lates seen 20 cars take the green and it was Dennis Lamb picking up the victory. Bubby Tharp Jr and Tom Chaffins would lead the field for the start with Tharp taking the lead only to hand it over to Lamb on lap seven.  Tharp would cross second, third Kris Eaton, twelth place starter Trevor Feathers would cross fourth and finishing fifth was Sam Crouch.

 

The Niningers Tire & Auto Pure Stocks headlined the evening with the Winchester/Potomac 25 lap challenge. Twenty-Nine cars checked in for this $500 to win main. Mike Reynolds and Mike Corbin lead the field to the drop of the green with Reynolds taking the top spot. Reynolds would hold the lead for the first six circuits but sixth place starter Mike Bennett made his presence known as he would take the lead on lap seven and never looked back. Donnie Kenney would try to make up ground on Bennett but laps ran out. Mike Bennett would take the win making it two in a row, Kenney crossed for second, third Kaiser, fourth Reynolds and Kurt Zimmerman would round out the top five.

 

The Dehaven Well Drilling 4 Cylindershas 17 cars checked in for the nights event and would see Chuck Johnson taking the lead on the initial start and  win over Ed Gageby, Third went to Randy Linaburg, fourth Scott McCartney and rpunding out the top five was Jeremy Tinsman.

 

Twenty Seven Finish Line Auto U-Cars would take to the track with Robert Plaugher and Chuckie Johnson leading the field to the drop of the green. Plaugher would take the early lead but third place starter Sean Williams wanted the spot. Sean Williams would claim the spot and go onto win the main. Second was Plaugher, third Kevin Oates, fourth Josh Wilkins and fifth went to Chuckie Johnson..
