Feathers, Elliott, Staton, Johnson & Wilkins visit victory lane

 

Winchester VA’S Bo Feathers took the checkered in The Gasoline Alley Late Model 25 lap main event on Saturday April 10, 2010. Feathers and Wesley Bonebrake would lead the field to the drop of the green with Feathers taking the lead over Bonebrake. The two battled for the first thirteen laps until the field was brought under caution. Feathers at the point, Wesley Bonebrake second and Crouch third would take the green to do battle again but no one could hold off Feathers as he would capture the win. Wesley Bonebrake second,eighth place starter Denny Bonebrake crossed third, Crouch fourth and rounding out the top five was Tony Crim.

 

In the 30 lap Potomac/ Winchesyer Challenge for The Gasoline Alley Auto Parts Limited Late Models twenty eight cars signed in but  it was Glenn Elliott taking the $1000 to win main. Elliott and Hatcher would lead the field to the green with Elliott taking the top spot. Hatcher would have his hands full to hold off Derick Quade for the runner up spot. Quade made the move and set his sights on Elliott but could not make the move. Fifth place starter Trevor Feathers made his presence know as he would take the second spot from Quade and set his sights on Elliott.  Elliott seemed in total control as he would cross for the checkered with Feathers second, Quade third, fourth Doug Hardy and completiting the top five was Bubby Tharp Jr.

 

The Niningers Tire & Auto Pure Stocks had twenty cars signed in for the main event. Ray Priest and Terry Staton would lead the field with Staton jumping out front to lead the first lap. Priest had his hands full with Carter trying to take the second spot the two battled with Carter taking over on lap three. Staton in control would cross the checkered with Carter second, Priest third, Kerns fourth and rounding out the top five was Bobby Franklin.

 

The Dehaven Well Drilling 4 Cylinders seen Chuck Johnson take the win. Cody Gray and Randy Linaburg lead the field to the drop of the green with Gary taking the top spot. Gray leading had Linaburg and Diggs battling for the runner up spot and Diggs would take second on lap seven and set his sights on Gray. Diggs made the pass for the top spot on lap ten only to suffer mechanical problems on lap fourteen handing the lead over to Johnson. Johnson hung on for the win, second Linaburg, third Scott McCartney, fourth Billy Sonner and fifth went to Roger Whitlock.

 

The Finish Line Auto U-Cars seen Brenda Alexander and Robert Plaugher lead the field with Plaugher taking the top spot.Plaugher would lead till the seventh lap as Josh Wilkins made the pass and went on to take the main event. Second went to Plaugher, third Jo Blomquist, fourth Chuckie Johnson and fifth was Kevin Oates.
